Culture and Gastronomy
Majorca is much more than coves and beaches. At Reverence Hotels we often say it, and we do so with the confidence of those who know the island inside out. Because Majorca is not just a sun-and-sea destination, but a place full of contrasts, where nature, history and serenity intertwine to create unique experiences.
If you feel like discovering a quieter Majorca, full of beauty and authenticity, we suggest a route through four natural areas and historic gardens, perfect to enjoy at your own pace. Staying at Reverence Mare (Palmanova) or Reverence Life (Santa Ponça) allows you to easily reach all of them and combine these visits with your beach or pool days.
Jardins d’Alfàbia (about 40 min from Santa Ponça / 35 min from Palmanova)
Located in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana (UNESCO World Heritage Site), these historic gardens are a cool retreat filled with pergolas, fountains and Mediterranean vegetation. Its central pond and stately home transport you to another era. Ideal for a late-morning or sunset walk and to enjoy culture in the middle of nature.
Sóller Botanical Garden (about 50 min from Santa Ponça / 45 min from Palmanova)
A space dedicated to Balearic and Mediterranean flora, featuring endemic species and conservation projects. Perfect for families and nature lovers. A great plan is to combine the visit with the wooden train Palma–Sóller and the tram to Port de Sóller, for a full day of landscape and tradition.
Raixa Gardens (about 30 min from Santa Ponça / 25 min from Palmanova)
A gem managed by the Consell de Mallorca, where history, architecture and landscape merge. Its terraced gardens, viewpoints and gentle paths offer beautiful valley views and a cinematic atmosphere. Perfect for those who seek a relaxed stroll, great photography and a touch of culture.
Mondragó Natural Park (about 1 h 15 min from Santa Ponça / 1 h 10 min from Palmanova)
Located in the southeast of the island, this park combines pine forest trails with unspoiled coves of turquoise waters, such as S’Amarador and Cala Mondragó. It is a protected area where you can observe birds, walk by the sea, or relax surrounded by posidonia and silence. The circular routes make it easy to adapt the walk to your rhythm.
At Reverence Hotels we believe that discovering Majorca also means feeling it. Experiencing its natural landscapes and historic gardens is a perfect way to reconnect with the island’s true essence.
